On 25th June, Changi Sailing Club partnered with the Singapore Association of Mental Health to bring some of their beneficiaries out Sailing on Pacers!
9 participants and 8 volunteers spent at day at the Club learning the ropes while enjoying the sun, sand and sea.
This activity is part of SAMH’s Creative SAY!, which stands for Sports, Arts and Youths, echoing SAMH’s belief that youths should have a SAY! in their lives. As physical health and mental health are closely linked, the Centre offers sports, outdoor and art activities to help spark conversations, promote general well-being, cultivate resilience, and prevent the onset of mental illness.
The Experiential Sailing Program is supported by the National Youth Council, National Youth Fund and is part of the SG Youth Cares movement. CSC is proud to run this program, and we are looking forward to more sailing activities with SAMH in the November/December School Holidays!❤
